George Dean
Call-Sign "EAGLE SIX"
Instructor Eagle Six

"Eagle Six", is a citizen soldier, former US Army infantryman (11 Bravo) who started his combat experience while serving with the 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Air Cav Division in South East Asia in 1966. Deployed originally as a squad Machine Gunner, he later volunteered to become a Platoon Sniper. During a battalion rotation reassignment in 1967, he was assigned leadership of an infantry platoon with the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry, and honorably discharged in 1971.
George grew up in a rural seaboard farming community and at a young age was introduced to old fashion American values of hunting, fishing, trapping, shooting, chores, respect and responsibility. Before he was old enough to obtain a drivers license, he was solo piloting power boats on the ocean and commonly would travel alone to wilderness areas spending days in the wild. The spirit of adventure has taken him from place to place over the years to settle in the Southwest Territory of Arizona.
During his many excursions, he traded his love of the sea for the skies, spending time as a Flight Instructor and then commercial pilot with Summit Airlines. From photography, to hunting, to racing, to survival, to executive, one constant he maintained was teaching. Building from his first hand knowledge of self-defense in the late 60's, in 1996 he founded TacTrain.
In addition to his youth shooting experience and extensive military training, he combines his training authority from various schools and certifications with his own real world combat experience. Although the owner and Chief Instructor of TacTrain, he takes the responsibility and honor of instructing seriously, and considers himself always a "serious student". It is his Quest to Learn and his Passion to Teach.

Ron Teagarden, Jr.
Call-Sign "ZEEK"
Ron Teagarden, Jr

Zeek graduated from San Diego State with a BS in Business Administration and continued technology studies at the University of California.
At age 10, Ron was introduced to pistol shooting by his grandfather and uncle. By his 14th birthday his dad had him shooting revolvers and shotguns at a local club. His thirst for knowledge and training brought Ron to study Hungar and Choy Lee Fut Kung-Fu, self-defense and philosophy, spending considerable time sparing, and performing security duties at local events in the San Diego area.
As a youngster, Ron also developed a love for the great outdoors including fishing, camping, and off-roading in the Arizona wilderness.
In 2000 he started formal firearms training. Pistol, carbine, shotgun, precision field rifle, edged weapons, and many other self-defense disciplines.
In 2003, Ron joined the staff as a TacOps Adjunct Instructor. Ron is also an extreme researcher who reinforces his student and instructor skills of learning "how" and "when"……with "why".

Call-Sign "DOG"
Paul Kelley

Dog grew up in Louisiana, with the gators, snakes, and cockroaches. As an avid hunter, he spent a lot of time in the woods, swamps, and bayous of Louisiana, stalking turkey, squirrel, duck, coon, rabbit, deer, pheasant, chukar, and quail.
Paul has worked and hunted with the local newspaper's Hunting and Fishing editor, scouting and tracking. They also worked with local Game & Fish officers recording and reporting poaching activities in several parishes of Northern Louisiana.
As a member of the Shreveport Gun Club and Red Chute Gun Club, Paul regularly honed his shotgun skills on the trap, skeet and sporting clay ranges.
Trading the bayous for the desert, Paul is focused on perfecting his personal protection skills with pistols, carbines, edged weapons, precision rifles and helping others learn as well.
In 2001 Paul started training at TacTrain with an aggressive progress track in multiple disciplines and joined the staff as a TacOps Adjunct Instructor in 2003.
