TacTrain offers seven levels of Battle Pistol Training along with Pistol Skills Workshops. Students beginning their defensive tactical training should attend the Level-I and Level-II Battle Pistol 1st Dimension courses. The Level-I and II Battle Pistol include the fundamental basic skills, including an introduction to night shooting, to prepare students for 2nd Dimension of fight training. The 1st Dimension begins where CCW training or Basic Gun Introduction training concludes, and prepares students to develop the mindset and handling skills to prevail during a mortal combat defensive engagement. 1 Dimension courses also provide advanced students with an excellent opportunity to review the basic fundamentals of Gun Fighting.
Level-III, IV, V, VI, & VII courses lead the student into the 2nd Dimension, after meeting minimum standards of Levels I & II. The 2nd Dimension are HSLD courses exposing students to the rigors and challenges of gun fighting with a Battle Pistol as a lethal tool and their mind as their primary weapon. They are results orientated and skills based. Each course includes several primary skill sets which students have an opportunity to learn their best method to achieve success. These classes are held rain or shine on an outdoor range facility. Students attending these courses should be in relatively good physical condition and prepared to work in the changing environment of the Sonoran desert. 2nd Dimension courses are designed to mentally and physically improve students combat skills.
Level-VIII and IX courses take the student into the 3rd Dimension. These courses are available by invitation only to students who have presented the highest physical, mental and moral standards of proficiency. The 3rd Dimension extends the skills development of S-D-P-FAST (Smooth-Deliberate-Precision) and Integrated-STS (Skills-Tactics-Strategies) techniques under unpredictable and stress induced situations.
All Dimension courses have been designed around proven methods, techniques and skills for self-defense and offense in the real world for citizen civilians, military, security and personal protection professionals. We use a proven building block system easy for students to understand. Students should be prepared to dedicate attention and effort during class, and committed to student self-training between attending the progressive levels.
Each level of pistol training is 1-day (8 hours) and the tuition cost is $100.00 per course level.
Pistol Skills Workshops are conducted to allow students an opportunity to train between formal training courses and/or to maintain their skill level. These are 1-day (6 hour) events , cost is $20.00. Content of each workshop is based on the demand of those students attending.
